Analysis of Genetic Diversity in Maize (Zea mays L.) Variety Using SSR Markers

The study was carried out to analyze the genetic diversity of five maize varieties at K. Wagh collage agricultural Biotechnology, Nashik during May October 2022 Genomic DNA isolated from by using CTAB method. PCR amplification obtains with set SSR primers. dendrogram constructed based UPGMA method Jaccard’s similarity coefficient and subjected cluster analysis. Among primer used only three found polymorphic total 13 alleles. PIC value 0.358 0.868 Phi-085, ssr-08 ssr-06 shows polymorphism 50%, 80% 83.34% respectively. analysis indicates were divided into 3 clades one Simplicifolicus. Interpreting results P. madhu is divers among all varieties. variety diversity. will help breeder select parents for different breeding programs.
